Kristin Emery is an American meteorologist and broadcast journalist who is currently working as a meteorologist at KDKA-TV and joined the station in June 2012. Prior to joining KDKA, Kristin was a columnist for almost six years at Observer-Reporter in Washington and Greene Counties in SW Pennsylvania.
Emery is a graduate of Washington High School. Additionally, she is a graduate of West Virginia University where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Broadcast Journalism.
She is an award-winning reporter and was assigned an Emmy for her work covering the destructive twister episode in Alabama in 2011. As the years progressed, Kristin has reported on everything from legislative issues to sports to medication and covered each sort of weather occasion you can envision including floods, snowstorms, ice storms, landslides, twisters, and typhoons.
