Kristy Siefkin is an American Weather Chief, Fill-in News Anchor, and Multimedia journalist currently working for Fox 10 News in Phoenix, Arizona. Siefkin works as Fox 10‘s weeknight weather anchor where she is very passionate about educating viewers on a variety of topics, from technology to politics, to arts and culture.
Kristy received a BA in Psychology from Duke University, where she graduated Phi Beta Kappa, Summa Cum Laude. She also holds a Master’s degree in Multimedia Communications from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. Additionally, at the University, Siefkin was selected as the valedictorian for all graduate programs.
Prior to her broadcasting career, Kristy worked as a spokeswoman, corporate trainer, and multimedia producer for several national non-profits, including the American Kennel Club and Guide Dogs for the Blind, Inc. After working for the American Kennel Club for 10 years, Kristy’s continued her involvement with the community here in the Valley, volunteering her time with several animal and youth charities.
Siefkin started her broadcast career in January 2010 at KRON 4 News in San Francisco, California as a video journalist and weather anchor. She then moved to KPIX CBS5 to work as a weather anchor and reporter starting March 2011. In San Francisco, Kristy covered several stories of national interest, including the end of “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” and the Occupy Wall Street Movement. Some of her favorite assignments took her to Bryant Park and Lincoln Center in New York, where she reported on Mercedes-Benz Fashion week.
