Lacey Evans Biography
Lacey Evans is an American professional wrestler and a former U.S. Marine. She is best known for performing on SmackDown under the name Lacey Evans and is currently signed with WWE. She has been on maternity leave since February 2021.
Lacey went to school at Indian River State College in Fort Pierce, Florida. While serving as a U.S. Marine, Evans worked as a military officer in a specialized unit for five years, starting at the age of 19. A staff sergeant introduced Evans to wrestling and invited her to a show. Lacey trained and then started her career on the independent circuit.
In 2016, Evans began working for WWE in their NXT developmental territory and took part in their inaugural Mae Young Classic. Moreover, she had her first Women’s Title match but was defeated by Ember Moon. On January 4, 2018, Lacey began the new year with a victory over fellow NXT newcomer named Aliyah.
Moreover, Evans feuded with Kairi Sane in NXT and debuted on Raw in December 2018. She also entered a feud with Becky Lynch that culminated in a mixed tag team match in the main event of Extreme Rules. She also participated in the opening round of the NXT Women’s Invitational where she was defeated by Dakota Kai.
In May 2019, she spent the weekend at WWE Live events competing for the RAW Women’s title currently held by Becky Lync. Evans wrestled for her Money In The Bank title and lost to Lynch. She also got a chance to compete for the RAW Women’s title in WWE Live events and pre-show dark matches on RAW against Becky Lynch. Additionally, Lacey made her video game debut in the Rising Stars pack of downloadable characters for WWE 2K19.
