Lauren Mayk Biography
Lauren Mayk is an American journalist who is currently working as a general assignment reporter for NBC10 News. Mayk reports live on weekdays during the 4, 5, and 6 p.m. newscasts. In addition, her work entails reporting for television at NBC’s Tampa affiliate, WFLA, and writing for print, giving her a combined 15 years of journalism experience.
Lauren is a proud graduate of the University of Michigan, where she received a degree in Political Science. During her time as an undergraduate, Mayk served as the Editor-in-Chief of The Michigan Daily. Lauren then went back to work for the Philadelphia Inquirer as a South Jersey correspondent.
At that time, she worked as a business reporter for the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. After spending some time on the newspaper side, Mayk joined SNN in Sarasota, Florida to work as a morning and evening television news anchor.
