Linda Evans is an American actress popularly known for her various roles that have graced our television since the 60s. She played Audra Barkley, the daughter of Victoria Barkley in the TV Series The Big Valley, an American Western drama series from 1965 to 1969. Linda is best popular for playing in the ABC primetime soap opera Dynasty, as Krystle Carrington from 1981 to 1989.
Linda went to Hollywood High School being a sorority sister of future actress Carole Wells. She began acting as a form of therapy to cure her shyness in drama classes. She was known as Linda Evenstad, but when her first television network appeared on the series Bachelor Father, she changed her name to Evans.
Afterward, she appeared in guest-starring roles in The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet, The Lieutenant, and Wagon Train. Later she was noticed in her first regular role in the Big Valley in 1965. Evans has still featured in the NBC network detective drama show The Rockford Files since 1974. In addition, she won a Golden Globe Award for Best Actress in a Television drama series for her role in Dynasty.
Linda Evans was also nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series in 1983. Nevertheless, she also bagged a People’s Choice Award for the Favorite Female Performer from 1983 to 1986 respectively.
