Lisa Hughes Biography
Lisa Hughes is an award-winning American journalist who works as an anchor at WBZ-TV News weekdays at 5 p.m., 6 p.m., and 11 p.m. alongside David Wade. Hughes joined the station in June of 2000. Previously, she served as a correspondent for CBS Newspath, the CBS-TV Station Group’s satellite news service. She was stationed in Washington, DC.
Lisa has covered almost every big news event in New England, and she has had the opportunity to interview many of the region’s newsmakers. Among her many honors, she won both a 2014 Columbia DuPont Award and a 2013 George Foster Peabody Award as part of WBZ-TV’s team coverage of the Boston Marathon Bombings.
