Mark Bullion Biography
Mark Bullion is an American journalist who currently works as an anchor and reporter at WJRT-TV, ABC 12 News. He joined the team in January of 2017. Bullion formerly worked at KTVA-TV in Anchorage, Alaska, as a weekend weather anchor and weekday weather producer before joining ABC 12 News.
Bullion was born in Michigan but has worked all around the United States. He started his career at WHIZ-TV in Zanesville, Ohio. He learned the ins and outs of anchoring, reporting, and weather forecasting there. Mark then relocated to Peoria, Illinois, where he worked for WEEK/WHOI-TV as a weather anchor, news anchor, and reporter.
Bullion went up the market chain to Colorado Springs, Colorado, where he worked as a weather anchor and reporter for KXRM-TV after two years. While reporting on several environmental and human interest issues, he experienced the changing weather patterns of the Rockies.
After Colorado, Bullion decided to take a chance and accepted a job as a weekend weather anchor and weekday weather producer at KTVA-TV in Anchorage, Alaska. He returned home to Metro Detroit after a brief stay in the Last Frontier and took some time off.
Bullion graduated from Northern Michigan University with a bachelor’s degree in electronic journalism and media studies (Go Cats!). He’s overjoyed to be back home and doing what he enjoys.! During the week, you can catch him reporting.
