Lisa Meadows Biography
Lisa Meadows is an American Emmy Award-winning meteorologist currently working for WCCO-TV in Minneapolis, Minnesota as the weekend evening news weather forecaster. Meadows also anchors WCCO Noon News from Monday to Wednesday, CBSN Minnesota from Saturday to Wednesday, and is a general assignment reporter Monday through Wednesday.
Lisa attended Valparaiso University and graduated with a B.S. in Meteorology-Math Minor & B.A. Communications with a minor in Mathematics. While at the institution, she was a member of the Valparaiso University Storm Chase Team. Lisa completed a storm chasing class which included traveling 5,626 miles across the Great Plains over 10 days chasing storms.
While in Valparaiso, Lisa was the chief meteorologist for her college TV station VUTV, president of the Northwest Indiana American Meteorological Society / National Weather Association, and an active person of the Valparaiso University Storm Intercept Team (VUSIT).
Meadows started her career in meteorology in the year 2013 by working for Lakeshore News and WYIN TV. She also did some internships with Amy Freese-Fox Chicago, and Tom Skilling-WGN before starting his professional career in meteorology.
Lisa is the president of the American Meteorological Society and National Meteorological Association based in Indiana. She later joined WCCO-TV in the year 2018 as a meteorologist in the Twin Cities where after her introduction to the WCCO crew was described as a major weather shock.

During her career, Meadows covered various weather conditions while working for CBS affiliates across the country: record-setting drought in Lubbock, TX; covering severe storms in Central IL; and historic wildfires in Sacramento, CA.
During his broadcasting career at CBS Sacramento, Lisa also had the opportunity to explain in depth the forecast and scientific details during the record-setting 2017 Atlantic hurricane season, which brought extreme devastation from Hurricanes Harvey, Irma, and Maria.
When she is not working, Lisa volunteers as a K9 Search& Rescue handler with the Northstar Search & Rescue Team. She and her K9 “Thunder” team are Wilderness II Tracking/Trailing Certified. They work with Northstar SAR to help locate missing persons across Minnesota and Western Wisconsin. Meadows is also a Certified National Search And Rescue Technician II.
