Nunez is a graduate of Syracuse University where she graduated with a Bachelors’s degree in Broadcast Digital Journalism with, Minor in African American Studies. At college, Lissette interned at WGN-TV as an Entertainment Intern in Chicago, Illinois. She also worked as an NCC News reporter in Syracuse, New York between 2012 and December 2014.
Between September 2011 and May 2015, Nunez served as the vice president of the National Association of Hispanic Journalists. She also served as a News Reporting Intern at CNYCentral WSTM NBC3, WTVH CBS5, and CW6. She then landed a job as an entertainment and news reporter at z89 Radio in Syracuse, New York.
Starting July 2015, Lissette joined WMDT-TV/47 ABC as a bilingual reporter. Her next step landed her at Fox 61 in Hartford, Connecticut where she spent almost three years before joining Fox 8 in March 2021.
