At a young age, Liz began pursuing her dreams of getting a journalism career. She started out with Trojan News when Liz was 15 years old. She was only in high school at the time and had mastered the basics of reporting. At KWOA radio in Worthington, one of her first assigned tasks was to cover the tornado that touched down in southwest Minnesota. She gained her first real on-air opportunity at KDLT-TV in Sioux Falls.

She spent two years at KDLT. Prior to that, she had the opportunity to work for a couple of months with CNN and was later working as a robotic camera operator at a major NBC station for half a year. Liz then joined KWCH-TV, Wichita, Kansas, to serve as a reporter for three years.

During her time at KWCH-TV, she covered some hard-hitting stories like problems at a military school in Salina, etc. Liz’s next career step came in 2008, with her move to WCCO in her home state of Minnesota. She still continues to work there.

For some time, Kroll’s relationship with Collin has been public knowledge, with some wondering why Collin has continued to cover police and public protection without so much as a marriage disclosure.

Kroll, meanwhile, is a frequent subject for the TV station, including his recent appearance at Donald Trump’s downtown Minneapolis rally.
