Maddie Gardner is an American corporate communicator and journalist known for her work as a news anchor and content producer for WMFY News and WBTV News based in North Carolina. She is also a former cheerleader who was recognized as an All-Star cheerleader. Maddie was the point flyer for the Senior Large All Girls Level 5 competitive cheerleading team. She also helped the team win the Cheerleading Worlds championship back in 2010 and 2012.
Gardner was born and raised in the northern part of Mount Airy, North Carolina. She grew up as a multitalented kid who began dancing and Cheerleading lessons at a very young age. Maddie even began competing at the Cheer Extreme Allstars in Kernersville at the age of seven. She attended and graduated from Mount Airy High School where she was also an active member of the school’s cheerleading team. Maddie then enrolled at the University of North Carolina and continued with her cheerleading talent. She was also a sister of the Zeta Tau Alpha sorority at the University. Gardner graduated with a bachelor’s degree in journalism and communication from the University of North Carolina.
Maddie began her career by making various appearances as a speaker, celebrity judge and stunt instructor back in early 2009. In 2011, Cnn decided to follow Cheer Extreme’s level Fire Featuring Maddie as the guest host. In March 2012, Gardner was able to launch her line of Fancy Face cosmetics. She then joined WMFY News as a news anchor and content producer and worked for almost a decade before leaving and joining WBTV. Gardner left her career as a journalist to become a corporate communicator.
