Madison Taylor Baez is a rising American actress and singer who is best known for playing the role of Young Selena Quintanilla in Netflix’s “Selena: The Series” (2020) alongside Christian Serratos. She was named a superstar in the making by Harper’s Bazaar following the show’s December 2020 release.
Madison received high recognition for portraying young Selena as well as for being the only cast member to use her powerful and soulful vocals in the Netflix series.
At the age of three, Taylor’s father introduced her to music where she began learning piano. She also developed her big and soulful voice by singing and memorizing 100’s of songs by shuffling through her father’s iTunes.
Madison would even sing songs all day long every day, and anywhere for anyone who would listen. Her playlist ranged from Motown, 70’s, 80’s, 90’s, to the most chart-topping songs of today Charlie Puth, Shawn Mendes, Bruno Mars, Meghan Trainor among other of her favorites.
After developing an interest in music, her father bought her a small pink electronic play piano for Christmas. After about a week, they could her key bangs from her bedroom, later switching to actual keynotes. Later after, her parents bought her a baby grand piano for the home where Madison took it from there learning how to play and read sheet music.

A few months before her 4th birthday, her father was diagnosed with stage 4 Colon Cancer which hit Madison and her entire family. She has had to watch her father struggle with the ailment for the past 6 years. However, in the course of the struggle, Madison realized that her singing would be the best treatment not only for her ailing dad but also for the whole family.
She would always sing to him at the hospital bedside throughout his stay during the 2 years of chemo treatments. Surprisingly, her father is now alive and cancer-free, a situation that has baffled doctors and defiled the odds. In his statements, he always says that Madison’s voice is the absolute cure to his ailment.
Madison got her first breakthrough when she performed the National Anthem for the LA Lakers. The performance led her to be invited to sing the National Anthem for the LA Dodgers, LA Kings, LA Rams, LA Galaxy, and Harlem Globetrotters.
Her recent LA Dodgers Fathers Day NAtional Anthem and Dodgers NLDS playoff game appearances have received national attention from NBC 4 LA News, CBS 2 LA News, The Fox 11 Good Day LA Show, and Fox11 LA News, KTLA 5 LA News, and Inside Edition.

During the 2020 summer, Madison was the first 8 years-old ever in the history of Orange County and LA Fairs to perform two 40-minute shows by herself singing 13 songs before a stunned crowd.
She has also featured in national commercials for Walmart, Chevy, McDonald’s, KB Homes, Fujifilm, CLA Health, Pageant Of Masters Arts Festival, Live Pets Toy, Anti Smoking PSA, and LA Metro join the movement campaigns. In addition, she co-starred in the award-winning film, “The Tooth Racket”.
Madison continues to perform and donate her time all over CA at charity, cancer and sporting events, local fairs, and schools. When she is not singing, Taylor is playing video games, soccer, playing with her dog Jax or hanging out with her friends.
