Mandy Noell Biography
Mandy Noell is an American Emmy Award-winning journalist currently working at FOX 56 News based in Lexington, Kentucky. She joined the station’s team in September 2021. Previously, Noell worked for KARK 4 and Fox 16 in Little Rock, Arkansas, as the morning news anchor and reporter. Noell had joined KARK team in January 2020. Mandy is from Pittsburgh, and she is a proud Virginia Tech Hokie. Her first visit to Little Rock was during her interview, and she fell in love with the Natural State and the City Within a Park.
Before Noell moved to Little Rock, she spent three years as the main evening anchor at KARK’s sister station, WKBN-TV, based in Youngstown, Ohio. While at Youngstown, she soloes anchored two Emmy Award-winning newscasts, and an Edward R. Murrow Award-winning newscast. Moreover, the nationwide opioid crisis hit Youngstown particularly hard, and she hosted multiple live town hall events, joined by politicians, leaders, and members of the community working on the front lines of the epidemic.
Additionally, Noell put together a special broadcast celebrating the women’s suffrage movement. She also produced and wrote a documentary on a cold case from 1994 involving two teen girls, Sarah Boehm and Kathryn Menendez. She believes shining a light on murder victims and the missing is one of the most important parts of her job.

Before moving to WKBN-TV, Mandy worked at WMBF News in Myrtle Beach for a period of four years. Her primary role was as a breaking news anchor and reporter and she worked with the digital team to produce web stories. She covered the disappearance of Heather Elvis, the 2015 thousand-year flooding event, reporting from waist-high water in her own neighborhood, the historic 2013 ice storm, as well as multiple hurricanes.
In addition, Mandy volunteers with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Arkansas as a Big. During her free time, she likes cheering on the Hokies and Pittsburg sports teams, watching whatever sport is in season, running, hiking, climbing, and kayaking. Moreover, when she is not trying new things, Mandy is being bossed around by her two fluffy, sassy rescue pups, Bailey and Zoe, also known as the BowWowBrats.
Noell attended and graduated from Virginia Tech in 2011 with a Bachelor of Liberal Arts and Human Sciences, Communication, and Electronic and Print Journalism.
