Marc Lamont Hill is an American television personality, journalist, academic, author, and activist. He is best known for serving at Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania as a professor of media studies and urban education.
Hill went to Carver High School, a public school in Philadelphia. Later, he joined Morehouse College, a private liberal arts college, but says he spent his time hanging out and getting into trouble. He then dropped out of Morehouse when he was a freshman. In addition, he joined Temple University, where he graduated with his B.S. in education and Spanish in 2000. Additionally, he later went to the University of Pennsylvania and received a Ph.D.
Lamont Hill worked as a political contributor for the Fox News Channel from 2007 to 2009. In addition, he used to appear on The OReilly Factor, Huckabee, and Hannity while still on Fox News. Moreover, Lamont has worked as a commentator on CNN and MSNBC. At Court TV, Lamont used to work as a weekly contributor to the Star Jones talk show.
In August 2012, Lamont replaced ED Gordon as a host of the syndicated television show titled Our World with Black Enterprise. Later, he moved to Huffington Post as a host of Huff Post Live In May 2012. On November 30, 2018, Hill was fired from CNN following his conviction of giving offensive comments in the defense of Palestinian rights
