Marcellus Vernon Wiley Sr. is a retired American football defensive end who spent ten seasons with four different teams in the National Football League. The Buffalo Bills selected him with the 22nd pick in the second round of the 1997 NFL Draft out of Columbia University.
Wiley played for the San Diego Chargers, Dallas Cowboys, and Jacksonville Jaguars after four seasons with the Bills. In addition, as a member of the San Diego Chargers, he was named to the AFC Pro Bowl squad in 2001.
Marcellus was a part of Fox Sports 1’s Speak For Yourself before co-hosting SportsNation on ESPN and hosting an afternoon drive-time sports talk radio show on ESPN 710AM in Los Angeles. In January 2013, he took over as full-time co-host of SportsNation, replacing Colin Cowherd.
Wiley departed ESPN on July 13, 2018, to join Fox Sports 1 as a co-host of Speak for Yourself alongside Jason Whitlock, who is now co-hosting with Emmanuel Acho after Whitlock’s contract with Fox Sports was not renewed in June 2020.
Marcellus had an appearance on Bravo’s Millionaire Matchmaker in November 2011. Wiley finally discovered a romantic interest in Season 5, Episode 12: “The Player and the Piano Player.”
