Mark Carcasole Biography
Mark Carcasole is a Canadian journalist who is currently working as a News Reporter at Global News Toronto since joining the station in August 2012. He brings his enthusiasm for current affairs and politics to Global Toronto’s News Hour.
Talking about his education, he attended and graduated from Humber College in 2005 with a degree in Radio Broadcasting. Prior to this, he attained a Digital Media Technical Production degree from Seneca College. After graduating from Humber College, he started his career immediately. He started off by working as an anchor and news reporter for NewsTalk 1010.
After working at NewsTalk 1010 for a period of 7 years and 4 months, Mark left the station in 2012 and joined his current station (Global News Toronto) as a general news reporter and weekend news anchor.
As part of the Global Toronto team, he covered hard-hitting stories, including the death of a child at an unlicensed Toronto daycare center in 2014 among other devastating stories. In his career he has receives a number of awards and recognitions, he received The Edward R. Murrow Award for Spot News Coverage for the Caledonia Standoff in 2017.
In addition, he received three New York Festivals Awards in 2007-2008 two for Best Breaking News Coverage and one for the Caledonia Standoff and the Jordan Manners murder. When off his duties, he enjoys making music in his house and loves movies. He is also a big fan of hokey, Carcasole plays and watches whenever he can.
