Marvin Jay Marquez Cuyugan also known as Marvin Agustin is a Filipino actor, chef, and entrepreneur. Born and raised in Paco, Manila, Philippines. He is known for owning famous restaurants like SumoSam, a Japanese restaurant, and Cafe Ten Titas restaurant in Filipino. Agustin was born and raised in Paco, Manila, Philippines.
Marquez attended International School for Culinary Arts and Hotel Management. He began his acting career in ABS-CBN’s youth-oriented show titled Gimik, where he was paired with singer-actress Jolina Magdangal in 1996. He was also cast in the soap opera Esperanza and the miniseries Sa Sandaling Kailangan Mo Ako. In addition to that, Agustin has also paired again with Magdangal as a leading role in the soap opera Labs Ko Si Babe, the first Philippine romantic-comedy series. From 2001 to 2003, Marvin worked as a host alongside his friend Dominic Ochoa and Rico Yan. However, in 2002 Yan passed away and his story was featured in the drama anthology Maalaala Mo Kaya in one of its episodes.

Agustin won his first TV and film acting awards in 2004 “Boxing Gloves” in Magpakailanman for his performance as Filipino boxing champion Manny Pacquiao. In the following year, he moved to GMA Network, where he hosted a variety musical show in SOP Rules. While there, Marvin also hosted a comedy show titled Outrageous & Courageous. He also co-owns a Japanese restaurant called John and Yoko, and Cafe Ten Titas restaurant. Other than that, Marquez also owns a Futuretainment company, which specializes in the production of concerts and events. Recently, the company debuted in television content production through Kanta Pilipinas, a singing contest on TV5. Besides that, Marvin has also played in some films like Adik Sa’Yo, Tinik Sa Dibdib, Panday Kids, and Pilyang Kerubin.
In 2010, he was cast in the GMA Network series, Beauty Queen. Later on, Agustin appeared in the drama series Iglot on GMA and afterward left the network to join TV5 in 2012. Two years later, he returned to ABS-CBN along with Jolina Magdangal.To date, Marvin has established over 40 restaurants in the Philippines.
