Matt Siegel Biography
Matt Siegel is an American radio host best known as the host of the Matty in the Morning Show on KISS 108 in Massachusetts. The show has been airing since 1981 thereby earning a legacy in Boston. He has co-hosted the show with several other radio hosts including Lisa Lipps and Bill Rossi. As of 2021, his co-hosts in the Morning Show are Lisa Donovan and Billy Costa.

Matt began gaining popularity while he was still in High School. He first got an audition to emcee at his school’s talent show. Eventually, he got the emceeing gig and was later described as the best suit for the microphone affair.
He also worked as a teacher at Stony Brook University later after completing his high school. It was while there when a professor was amused by his students and directed Siegel to join show business.
He then had his first job as a radio host in a radio station based in Oneonta, New York on a daytime shift. In 1972, he moved to KWFM-FM in Tucson, AZ. KWFM is a radical underground progressive rock station. After quitting the radio broadcast, he became a commercial voice-over announcer with Warner Bros Records while still working as a freelance producer.
In 1977, Siegel went on vacation in Boston and while there, he landed into a job opening with WBCN-FM. During this time, Charles Laquidara, a radio DJ of the “The Big Mattress” was on a leave. He filled in for him and after two months into the morning show, he got confirmed as a permanent midday host. He worked in the station for two and a half years.
Matt initialised a spoof call-in show by the name “Dr. Matt’s Advice to the Love Lorn” while still working with WBCN-FM. This made him get a new job at WCVB-TV (Channel 5) as the “Five All Night Live” show host.
Later on, he made a national appearance Co-hosting Steve Allen on Life’s Most Embarrassing Moments. He was offered to work in the morning spot, Matty in the Morning with KISS 108 FM in the summer of 1980.

Since then, it has been the leading FM Morning Show in Boston as well as the highest-rated show on KISS 108. All along, the show has been having numerous celebrity guests including Madonna, Bette Midler, Oprah Winfrey, Dustin Hoffman, Cher, Christopher Reeve, Ted Danson, Tom Hanks, Ben Affleck, Rosie O’Donnell, Celine Dion, Harry Connick, Jr., Michael J. Fox, Barry Manilow, Lenny Clarke and many others.
