Megan Nicole Green is an American singer, songwriter, actress, and musician who rose to fame on YouTube in 2009. She started her YouTube channel in 2009 where she posted her cover of “Use Somebody” by Kings of Leon. She soon started to post covers of popular songs by artists like Bruno Mars, Katy Perry, Lorde, and Rihanna.
Her cover of ‘The Lazy Song’ by Bruno Mars is the most-watched video on her channel with 66 million views. In 2010, after watching her videos, Los Angeles-based songwriter and producer Lairs Johnston became interested in working with her. As her manager, he helped her make a large number of songs and videos, working with influential people from the music industry.
In 2011, she released her first original music video, ‘B-e-a-utiful’. The song, written by Green herself along with Lairs Johnston, Stephen Folden, and Tom Mgrdichian, gained 27 million hits by November 2013.
