Melanie Alnwick is an American journalist who is currently working as a morning news co-anchor at FOX5 based in Washington DC.
Her career officially began when she was hired as a news director’s secretary at WUSA-9. Her on-air job began in Pennsylvania. Melanie has worked as a nightside reporter, investigative reporter, money and consumer reporter, and producer.
In addition, she has been awarded a national Emmy award for her series of investigative reports in Spring valley. Currently, she is working as the co-anchor of FOX5 Morning News and Good Day which airs at 9 am.
Alnwick completed her high school education at Fort Hunt High School. She decided to follow her passion which had developed since she was a child and enrolled at the University of Florida. Here, she pursued and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in journalism.
