Melissa Roxburgh is a Canadian actress who is best known for her roles in Diary of Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules (2011) and Dairy of a Wimpy Kid: Dogs Days, as Olivia Tanis in The Marine 4: Moving Target. In addition, she starred as Michaela Stone in the NBC television series Manifest. The series ran from 2018 and was announced on August 28, 2021, that it will return for a fourth and final season with Netflix.
After graduating from high school, she began pursuing acting in Vancouver where she landed her major role in Diary of Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules as Rachel. Later on, she went to appear in the second sequel of Diary of a Wimpy Kid, Dogs Days, but as a different character, Heather Hills.
Roxburgh’s other work in films has included Big Time Movie, Jeni in Leprechaun: Origins, and Ensign Syl in Star Trek Beyond. Her television work has included the Supernatural spinoff, Bloodlines, and Thea in The CW’s drama series, Valor.
Roxburgh is passionate about traveling. Growing up, her family visited Africa, Europe, and South America which triggered her interest in social justice. Currently, she serves as a GenR Leader for International Rescue Committee, which assists people in extreme humanitarian crises.
