Micah Ohlman is an American Emmy Award-winning journalist who currently co-anchors the weekday editions of the KTLA News at 6 p.m., 6.30 p.m., and 10 p.m. She has also anchored extensive live coverage of virtually every major story in Southern California, bringing about a sense of loyalty and reputation among the viewers.
Ohlman graduated from William S. Hart High School in Newhall, Calif. Later on, he joined the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and earned a degree in communication studies. Fortunately, at UNLV, he earned a spot on the nationally-ranked 1992–1993 UNLV Runnin’ Rebels basketball team as a walk-on.
Ohlman started his career as a weekday evening co-anchor for NBC affiliate KULR-TV in Billings, Montana, from 1998 to 2000. At WTVJ-TV, he anchored and also reported for the NBC-owned television station in Miami, Florida. After two years, Micah returned as a co-anchor for ABC’s west coast flagship, KABC-TV in Los Angeles.
In April 2009, Ohlman left KABC-TV and signed on with KTLA in September of the same year as the station’s news anchor, alongside Victoria Recano, anchoring at 6 and 6.30. and the signature broadcast at 10. Micah additionally, has anchored extensive live coverage of several of the major stories in Southern California.
