Mikaya Thurmond is an American journalist who is currently working for WRAL-TV since 2020 as a reporter and weekend morning anchor in Raleigh, North Carolina. Prior to this, Thurmond worked for WTVC-TV.
Thurmond attended the University of Georgia and graduated in 2012. While at the university, she minored in Spanish and later graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Digital and Broadcast Journalism. In addition, she did her Master of Liberal Arts in Journalism at Harvard University and graduated in 2018. She also got her Certificate in Religious of the world from Harvard University. Thurmond’s other interests include cooking, trying new foods, and restaurants, online shopping, and traveling among others.
