Mike Blowers Biography
Mike Blowers is an American former Major League Baseball Player, who is currently working as a color commentator for Mariners television and radio broadcasts since 2007. He also served with Dave Niehaus a Ford C. Frck Baseball Hall of Fame Award broadcaster. He proceeds to serve with Dave Sims.
Born in West Germany, he attended and graduated from Bethel High School in Spanaway and played college baseball at Tacoma Community College and the University of Washington in Seattle. In his freshman year, he was selected by the Marines in the 1984 Major League Baseball Draft. He however opted not to sign with the Marines. In his junior year at Washington, he won the triple crown in the Pc-10 North Division with the Huskies and was selected by the Montreal Expos in the tenth round of the 1986 MLB Draft.
Most notably, he began his MLB career with the New York Yankees in eptember1, 1989. His last game with New York Yankees was on October 3, 1999, when they played against Seattle Mariners. After his playing career was over he switched to journalism where he decided to become a commentator. He has been a television and radio color commentator for the Seattle Mariners since 2007.
