Molly Grantham Biography
Molly Grantham is an American journalist who currently works as an anchor at WBTV News. She anchors the 5:00, 5:30, and 11 p.m. newscasts. In addition, she is a two-time Emmy-award winner and has been named TV News Reporter of the Year. She is also well-known for helping #Mollyskids children with uphill medical battles. Molly follows the stories of more than 100 kids a year, networking them together, promoting awareness, and supporting the raising of funds for pediatric sickness and research.
In relation to her education, she attended McCaskey High School and graduated in 1995. Later on, she graduated from the University of North Carolina with a degree in Broadcast Journalism in 1999. Following her graduation, she took up an internship at ABC TV based in Sydney.
In 2003, Molly came to Charlotte as a reporter where she has provided gangs, terrorism, and the fight to legalize cannabis oil in North Carolina. She also gave a TedxCharlotte Talk titled”The Real We Are” in 2018, on stereotypes about women and image. This talk was well received. Molly was the reporter of the year for both Carolinas, one of Mecklenburg Country’s “50 Most Influential Women” and recently, Charlotte of the Year in 2020 by Charlotte Magazine.
