Monique Coleman is an American actress popular for playing Taylor McKessie’s role in High School Musical (2005) and its sequels. She also gained more fame for competing in the third edition of Dancing with the Stars alongside her famous dance partner, Louis van Amstel. Additionally, Monique’s other famous roles are in Mother of the Rivers (1995), The Reading Room (2005), Free the Nipple (2014), Boston Public (2003 to 2004), Gilmore Girls (2004) and We are Family (2017).

Monique earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in acting from The Theatre School class of 2002.

During the presentation of the letter, Mr. Kwame said Monique will work to raise awareness about challenges young people face. Monique received the designation of Youth Champion and she said she will use her new position to promote global efforts to achieve the anti-poverty Millennium Development Goals.
