Monty Torres is an American journalist working as a news anchor and reporter working for KMPH FOX 26 based in Los Angeles. He began working here as a general assignment reporter. His broadcasting journey began as a weekend anchor at KWHY-TV based in Los Angeles, California.
Additionally, he has worked as a co-host of the affairs show In Studio which aired on KCOP community TV. He co-hosted the show for three seasons. Monty has also worked in Palm Spring, California, for KMIR-TV. He worked here as the Philippine News Los Angeles bureau chief, anchor, and reporter.
Moreover, he has worked for the NBC affiliate WBBH based in Fort Myers, Florida, and served as a weekday anchor for the noon and early evening news. Later, he relocated to Grand Rapids, Michigan where he worked as the primary evening anchor for WXMI-TV. In 2000, he was hired by NBC as the new morning show anchor for the Raleigh, North Carolina station.

Furthermore, he attended Brigham Young University where he studied, and the University of California Los Angeles to study Psychology. Later, he attended Loyola Law School but then left to begin his professional certificate program in Broadcast Journalism at the University of California Los Angeles.
