Neil Cavuto Biography
Neil Cavuto is an American television Anchorperson, analyst, and business journalist who is currently working at Fox News. He hosts three TV programs: Your World with Cavuto and Cavuto Live, both on Fox News, and since January 20, 2018, Cavuto: Coast to Coast on Fox Business Network’s sister channel.
He was raised in Danbury, where he attended Immaculate High School in Connecticut. At 17, while attending high school, he became the manager of a fish and chips restaurant. During the Carter Administration, he served as a White House intern. In addition, he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in mass communication from St. Bonaventure University in 1980 and received a master’s degree from American University.
Cavuto was a principal anchor and reporter for CNBC before joining Fox. On April 17, 1989, he co-anchored CNBC’s initial broadcast. Power Lunch on CNBC was presented by Cavuto and contributed to NBC’s Today. He spent 15 years working for the Nightly Business News for the Public Broadcasting Service. He was also the chief of the New York City bureau.
In July 1996, he joined Fox News and became host and managing editor with Neil of Your World when the network launched in October. In March 2006, he became the Vice President of FOX Business News. He is serving all three positions simultaneously. Fox’s primary business news program is Your World.
He has five Cable ACE award nominations. He is the author of Your Money or Your Life and More Than Money. Both books were best-sellers in the New York Times.
Cavuto, a frequent critic of President Donald Trump, has also been branded a “Trump skeptic” by NPR and The Daily Beast. Additionally, Trump spent 20 minutes at a rally in Colorado Springs, Colorado in February 2020 criticizing Cavuto.
