Nicole Linsalata Biography
Nicole Linsalata is an American journalist who is currently working at 7News WSVN as a general assignment reporter since August 2005. Prior to joining her current station, she worked at KIRO-TV, the CBS affiliate in Seattle.
This award-winning journalist attended the University of Mary Washington from 1984 to 1985. Later on, in 1986, she attended Florida State University. She also attended the University of Cambridge the following year and studied Political Science and Government. Linosalata holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science and Government from Florida International University.
Following her graduation, she started her broadcasting career at WKMG-TV in Orlando where she received two Central Florida Press Club Awards. Prior to joining her current station, she was a reporter and weekend anchor at WZVN-TV, the ABC affiliate in Fort Myers, Florida, the United States.
She has also worked at WAGA-TV in Atlanta. While here she covered stories on hurricanes, the death of John F. Kennedy Jr., and the deadly tornadoes in South Georgia. In addition, she received an Emmy nomination for field reporting while at the station.
She also received both an Emmy and the prestigious Edward R. Murrow award for her news report, Hope for Haiti in 2012. The series chronicled the hurricane-ravaged island two years after a catastrophic earthquake hit just west of Port-au-Prince.
