Nicole Richie is an American socialite, fashion designer, reality TV personality, actress, and author. She is the adopted daughter of the music legend, Lionell Richie. Nicole rose to fame as Paris Hilton’s socialite co-host on the reality show, The Simple Life.
Thereafter, she became a mentor on the NBC series Fashion Star. Her role in the Fox reality television series, The Simple Life featuring her fellow socialite Paris Hilton also led her to stardom.
She was born Nicole Camille Escovedo in Berkeley, California, United States. At age 3, she moved to stay with her father’s bandmate, Lionel Richie. After 6 years, the music star, Lionel officially adopted her. In 2003, she started off her career with her childhood friend Paris Hilton in The Simple Life.
At around 26, Nicole launched her jewelry line and later expanded it to clothes and accessories. Concurrently, she also continued featuring on television and authored two books.
