He joined KVUE News in January 2018 after working as a weekend morning anchor and reporter at KXXV-TV, the ABC affiliate in Waco, Texas, which is not that far from Austin.
Born in Venezuela and raised in Miami, Perez attended and graduated from Florida International University with a Bachelor’s degree in communication action with an emphasis in broadcast journalism. At the University he interned for WPLG-TV, the ABC affiliate in MiamiHerald News. Furthermore, he interned at WJXT-TV, and FIU’s School of Journalism and Mass Communication.
