Phlash Phelps is an American radio personality and disc jockey who currently broadcasts from Washington, D.C. for Sirius-XM Radio. On the ’60s Gold, Channel 73, Phelps hosts the weekday morning drive time Phlash Phelps Pharm, which mainly plays music hits from the 1960s. Since 2001, Phlash has collaborated with SiriusXM.
Regardless, he assists with a variety of radio assignments, traveling across the country to work in a variety of secondary and tertiary markets. He’s also noted for his fast-talking, retro style of presenting and for focusing his show on American geography. He had worked at XM Satellite Radio before joining SiriusXM. From 1990 to 1995, he worked for WDJB-FM.
Phlash grew up in Baltimore City, Maryland, and was born in Towson, Maryland. Calvert Hall College High School in Towson is where he went to school and graduated. He grew up listening to Casey Kasem and his American Top 40 countdown show, and he learned a lot about what was popular at the time. Phelps won a station contest and was given a tour of Baltimore’s WBSB (B-104) studios when he realized he wanted to work as a radio personality.

On Monday through Friday, he broadcasts from 6 a.m. to 1 p.m. EST, and on Sundays, he transmits from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. EST.
