Poorstacy Biography
Poorstacy is an American musician and rapper whose music merges hip hop, punk rock, and heavy metal. As of 2022, he has released two studio albums and two EPs. In addition, he was featured on the Grammy Award-nominated Bill & Ted Face the Music soundtrack.
He got his inspiration to listen to rock music and play guitar by playing Guitar Hero. His local metalcore added to his inspiration and the underground Miami hip-hop scene. Later, he began performing live with his band in the local heavy metal, punk rock, and gothic rock scenes.
Furthermore, he began uploading music online on SoundCloud. For his starts he had a number of pseudonyms, including Lito Xantana, Vizion, and Scarybrats, he eventually took on the stage name “Poorstacy” in reference to skater Stacy Peralta.
He released the song “I Can’t Sleep” featuring Iann Dior as a single on January 31, 2020. His debut album, the Breakfast Club was released on March 13, 2020, but was originally planned to be released on February 7. He was featured on the song “Headscape” by Fame on Fire on June 12, 2020. Recently, he released the single “Party at the Cemetry.
