Austin Richard Post, also known as Post Malone, is an American rapper, singer, songwriter, and record producer. Post is famous for his variegated vocals, and has gained acclaim for blending genres and subgenres of hip-hop, pop, R&B, and trap. He rose to frame in 2015 with his debut single “White Iverson”, which peaked at number 14 on the US Billboard Hot 100.
Richard was born and raised in Syracuse, New York, United States. He completed his high school at Grapevine High School. After that, he enrolled in Tarrant County College but dropped out. After leaving college, Post moved to Los Angeles, California, with his longtime friend Jason Probst, a professional game streamer. He together with his friend formed a music group called BLCKVRD. Malone has also ventured into other activities, such as owning his own line of French rosé, Maison No. 9, named after his favored tarot card, the Nine of Swords.
