Rachel Anderson is an American journalist who is currently working as a reporter, producer, and weekend anchor at ABC7 since joining the station in September 2019. Anderson comes to ABC7 from WVVA. It was in this same station that she began her reporting career before graduating in 2018.
In college, she was a member of the Alpha Delta Pi sorority and a co-host for VTTV. VTTV is a student-run television station on campus. While being an active participant at many campus events, her favorite memories at Virginia Tech were her experience as the university’s mascot, the Hokie Bird.
Anderson grew up near Virginia Beach but Blackburg will always hold a special place in her heart. When off her duties, she spends time with her dog, Benny, and tries new places to eat.
