Rich Tettemer is an American journalist currently serving as the weekday morning and noon anchor of WWLP’s New Edition news in Massachusetts. He joined the station back in 1988 as a sports director. Therefore, Rich worked his way up to his current position. Before WWL, he spent a few years working as a weekend sports anchor and reporter for KODE News based in Joplin, Missouri. Tettemer even spent a few years working as a sports editor for WFLA News in Florida.
Rich was born and raised in the suburbs of Tampa, Florida. He grew up as the only child of his Native American family of Caucasian descent. Rich finished his high school and middle school education in his hometown. From there, Tettemer enrolled at the University of South Florida where he graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Mass communications and broadcasting.
Tettemer first began his career as an intern at WFLA News based in Florida. He was then hired full-time as a sports editor at the station. Rich then moved to Joplin, Missouri where he took a job to work as a weekend anchor and reporter for KODE News. He was able to deliver the latest NFL Super Bowl games, baseball matches and other global Olympic news across the world that boosted his fame and popularity as a news anchor.
Rich left KODE and joined WWLP News back in 1988. Since then, he has been known for delivering the best relatable news every day for the people of Massachusetts.
