Rick Karle is an American journalist currently working as the co-host of the WVTM 13 Morning News show in Birmingham, AL. He joined the station’s team in December of 2019. His newscasts air on weekdays starting at 4 a.m. He co-anchors with Eunice Elliott, meteorologist Stephanie Walker, and Harmony Mendoza. Despite joining WVTM 13, Karle served as a TV sports anchor in Birmingham, Jacksonville, and Hanover, NH. He spent over 35 years of his life in Birmingham.
Rick was born and raised in Syracuse, New York City, and received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in journalism from the University of New Hampshire. Being a cancer survivor, he has served as a board member for the American Cancer Society.
