Rob Hackford is an American multimedia skilled journalist and weekend evening producer at WGRZ Channel 2 in Buffalo, New York. He joined Channel 2 in August 2020 after spending four years at WSTR in Syracuse, New York.
Hackford grew up in Orchard Park and attended Orchard Park High School. After his graduation from Orchard Park, Rob became a student director of the studio station of WTOP 10-TV and a resident assistant at Buffalo University for a year. He later transferred to SUNY Oswego.
Hackford returned to 2 On Your Side after interning with the station back in 2013. In Syracuse, Rob served in various roles like weekend morning anchor and was recognized several times by the regional Syracuse Press Club. He is now excited to be back home and eager to share stories with the residents.
