Robert Puente is an American journalist currently working as a news anchor for KTLA on 5 Live, streaming weekdays on KTLA.com, and the KTLA 5 News app at noon and 4. pm. Puente joined the station in 2014.
A Los Angeles native, Robert grew up watching KTLA 5 News. He graduated from the California State University of Los Angeles with a Bachelor of Science in business marketing.
In 2014, Robert joined KTLA’s road group team as an organizer, communicating with a large number of KTLA viewers. He worked tirelessly to make sure that KTLA fans were blessed, usually the rare and highly sought-after KTLA coffee mug.
In 2018, Puente joined the KTLA 5 Live team as a production assistant and quickly transitioned into an on-camera personality. He has a great passion for local news and inspiring stories to share. He loves talking openly, and as a member of the LGBTQ community encourages others to share their stories as well.
