Romilly Weeks Biography
Romilly Weeks is an English journalist and former actor who is currently working as a political correspondent and news presenter for ITV News. After a career in acting, she went into broadcasting journalism. Her reporting for ITV News has led to her traveling extensively. She was embedded with the British Army during the Second Gulf War and reported from Thailand after the 2004 tsunami. She has covered many royal tours in her role as Royal Correspondent.
During Queen Elizabeth II’s 60th wedding anniversary, she was broadcasting live on air when she was surprised by Prince Philip. In 2003, she became a regular newscaster on the now-defunct ITV News Channel. She combined roles as a royal correspondent and news presenter for ITV News from 2006 till 2008. This was after she was an occasional presenter for London. Weeks became a News Correspondent in 2009. In 2012, she was promoted to political correspondent.
