Ron Corning is an American television host. His most recent position was at the ABC affiliate WFAA in Dallas, Texas. In addition, he has co-anchored the WFAA’s morning newscast and Daybreak. Moreover, he has worked as the solo anchor of Midday for WFAA’s one-hour noon newscast. Currently, he works at CW33 as the co-host of Morning After.

Corning studied and graduated from Wheaton College in Massachusetts in 1993 with a degree in history and religion. He began his career as a general assignment reporter for WDTV, the CBS affiliate. Corning also worked as a weekend anchor and reporter at one of WDTV’s rivals, WBOY, the NBC affiliate.

His first major market position was at KTVI, the Fox station in St. Louis, Missouri. From there he went on to work at the Fox affiliate in Seattle, Washington, KCPQ. Moreover, he worked as a co-anchor for ABC World News This Morning and World News Now from 2004 to August 2006.

His acquaintances called 911 and he was taken to Christus St. Vincent Regional Medical Center in Santa Fe. Corning had to go for surgery and was in surgery for three long hours. After surgery, he had a full-length straight-leg cast that he had to wear for six weeks. Moreover, he couldn’t drive and had to go for rehabilitation for several months.
