Rosanna Scotto Biography
Rosanna Scotto is an American news anchor currently the co-host of Good Day New York, on Fox 5 NY WNYW in New York City. Formerly, Rosanna hosted Greg Kelly. She also anchored the 5 and 10 pm news alongside Ernie Anastos and the Fox 5 Live 11 am news.
Scotto graduated from Visitation Academy, a Catholic elementary school in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn. Later she joined Brooklyn’s Packer Collegiate Institute where she graduated in 1976. Rosanna attended The Catholic University of America (CUA) in Washington, D.C. where she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in fine arts in 1980.
Scotto started her broadcast career at WTBS, in Atlanta where she served as a reporter for two local programs and an associate producer of the station’s evening newscasts.
In 1982, she returned to New York City as a reporter for WABC-TV’s Good Morning New York. Eventually, the show became Live with Regis and Kathie Lee. After spending a year with Good Morning New York and The Morning Show, Scotto joined WABC-TV’s Eyewitness News as a reporter, where she remained until she joined Fox’s WNYW.

Rosanna joined Fox 5 News in 1986 as a weekend anchor and reporter. In 1994, she started anchoring the weekday edition of Fox 5 News. Moreover, she anchored the 5 and 10 pm newscasts with Ernie Anastos.
In 2008, Rosanna was promoted to work as the anchor of Good Day New York, soon coming alongside Greg Kelly. After a long service together, Greg Kelly made his final appearance on Good Day New York, on September 29, 2017, announcing he was leaving. Shortly after, Lori Stokes, WABC-TV’s longtime morning anchor replaced Kelly as Scotto’s co-anchor.
In addition, in 1997, Scotto had a surprise appearance as herself on an episode of the FOX cop drama New York Undercover. Scotto also played a news anchor in the 1998 film The Object of My Affection. She also participated in the films Lisa Picard Is Famous in 2000, Ransom in 1996, The Scout in 1994, Miracle on 34th Street remake, and Ghostbusters in 2016.
