Ross Janssen Biography
Ross Janssen is an American chief meteorologist who is currently working for KWCH-TV. For two years, he has worked for Channel 6 as both a morning meteorologist and a chief meteorologist in Lawrence. At WIBW, Janssen has done some fill-in work before moving to Wichita where he worked with KWCH.
In 2004, he received the National Weather Association Seal of Approval. He also received the Certificate Broadcast Meteorologist designation from the American Meteorological Society in 2006.
While he was in middle school, he started attending storm spotter training classes with his dad. Ross joined the University of Kansas where he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Atmospheric Science.
