Shalita Grant is an American actress from Virginia, USA. She rose to fame for playing the role of Special Agent Sonja Percy on NCIS: New Orleans. Grant also gained more fame for playing various roles in TV shows like Santa Clarita Diet, Mercy Street, and Search Party. Grant even received a Theatre World award for her outstanding Broadway Debut back in 2013. She was also nominated at the Tony Awards for Best Featured Actress in a Play in 2013.
Grant was born and raised in the suburbs of Petersburg, Virginia. She then finished her high school education in her hometown and proceeded to enroll at Appomattox Regional Governor’s School for the Arts and Technology. However, Shalita transferred and joined the Baltimore School of Arts in Maryland after one year. In 2010, she earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Drama through a scholarship she got at the Julliard School.
Shalita began her acting career around the age of sixteen or seventeen by participating in theater and Broadway productions at the Young Arts Theater.
