Sid Garcia Biography
Sid Garcia is an American general assignment reporter currently working for ABC7 Eyewitness News since joining the station in 1997. Raised in Southern California, Sid attended California State University Long Beach where he graduated with a degree in journalism in 1982.
Sid then started his broadcast career in 1983 at KBAK in Bakersfield as an anchor and reporter. In 1987, he moved to WGN in Chicago. Garcia returned to Los Angeles in 1994 to anchor and report at KFWB news radio. He then moved to KFSN in Fresno as a reporter and anchor before joining ABC 7 News in 1997.
During his service at ABC 7 News, Sid also worked as the Eyewitness News Orange County Bureau Chief. He is a long-time member of the California Chicano News Media Association and the National Association of Hispanic Journalists.
