Steve Doocy Biography
Steve Doocy is an American broadcast journalist and political commentator currently serving as a co-host on FOX News. He mainly appears on FOX & Friends with his fellow co-anchors Ainsley Earhardt and Brian Kilmeade. Before FOX News, Doocy worked as a reporter and a co-host on NBC’s Wake Up America. He also spent several years appearing as a co-anchor on a CBS flagship station called WCBS TV since 1996. Doocy even worked as the live Times Square reporter for ABC’s New Year’s Rockin’ eve with Dick Clark.
Doocy was born in the suburbs of Algona, Iowa, but spent his whole life in Industry, Kansas USA. He grew up as the son of a sales and construction worker. Steve also attended various Kansas grade Schools in Russell, Salina and Industry due to the nature of his father’s work. Eventually, he was able to complete his high school education in Clay Center, Kansas. He then joined and graduated from the University of Kansas with a Bachelor o Science in Journalism.
Steve was the first disc jokey to present on the school’s student-orientated radio station called KJHK radio at 90.07 F.m. From there Doocy went on to work for various TV stations in Des Moines, Wichita and Kansas City. He then landed his first ever major role at a successful TV station called WRC based in Washington D.C.
Doocy then went on to work at WRC for almost three to two years and even made a name for himself. His popularity and charisma on TV then earned him an opportunity to work as a morning news anchor for WSCBS in New York City. He also hosted ABC’s Dark Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’s Eve show before leaving WCBS. Steve finally joined FOX News in 1996. He began his current work as a co-host on FOX & Friends back in 1998 which he still is to this day.
