Tameka Dianne Cottle Harris is an American singer and songwriter. She is famous for being a member of the multi-platinum R&B vocal group Xscape, who gained reality fame after appearing on BET’s Tiny and Toya and ‘T.I. & Tiny: The Family Hustle. In addition, Tameka has received a Grammy Award for her writing contributions to the TLC hit “No Scrubs”. Cottle is also known for her marriage to T.I. and also by her nickname Tiny.

Cottle was born in College Park, Georgia, to a family of musical members as her father and uncle were the founders of the R&B group The Tams. She later went to Tri-Cities Performing Arts High School. After finishing her education, Harris started her career by joining the R&B quartet ‘Xscape’ in the year 1992. With her group, they were able to release three albums namely ‘Hummin’ Comin’ at ‘Cha’, ‘Traces of My Lipstick’ and ‘Off the Hook’. Harris then contributed to six songs of the group. These songs were: ‘Understanding’, ‘All I Need’, ‘Do You Want To?’, ‘My Little Secret’, ‘Am I Dreamin’ and ‘Love’s a Funny Thing’.

Furthermore, she has obtained two Soul Train Music Awards for Best New R&B Artist and Best R&B Album and the A-Town Music Award for Best Duo/Group. In 1998, ‘Xscape’ parted ways and Cottle started focussing on her solo career. Cottle reunited with sisters LaTocha and Tamika Scott and added a new member, Kiesha Miles, to release an Xscape album entitled Unchained as well as released the single “What’s Up” IN 2005. Four years later, she got featured in the reality show ‘Tiny and Toya’. In 2011, ‘T.I. & Tiny: The Family Hustle premiered on VH1.

Thereafter, she returned back to the music industry with her single ‘What The Fuck You Gon Do?’After the release of the song it reached the number 5 spot on the iTunes R&B/Soul charts, and in less than 24 hours it became the number one song on the charts for the genre. In the same year, Harris’ show Tiny and Shekinah’s Weave Trip’ featuring the singer and her best friend premiered on VH1. In 2018, Cottle took a break to nurse her young daughter who was one year old.
