Taniya Nayak Biography
Taniya Nayak is an Indian-American television personality and interior designer who is well-known as a design expert member of HGTV and Food Network. In addition, she owns a successful, Boston-based interior design firm, Taniya Nayak Design, Inc. Nayak is also a brand ambassador for Ellen Degeners’ QVC line called “ED on Air”.
She attended Weymouth High School and graduated in 1991. Later on, she attended the University of Massachusetts Lowell and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Marketing. After this, she attended the Boston Architectural College where she did her Master of Arts degree in Interior Design.
Soon after graduating, she scored herself a job on the ABC family’s knock show. She co-hosted the show & showcased her work alongside 3 other designers. After leaving the show, she joined the Designed to sell on the HGTV network and helped people prepare and add value to their houses. Nayak gained popularity on the show and later landed her own personal show called Destination Design.
Furthermore, she hosted House on Vacation, which was HGTV’s spin-off of the hit show, House Hunters. She has also hosted various other shows on HGTV including Billion Dollar Block and is also a regular guest on the Restaurant: Impossible show on Food Network.
