Tia Ewing Biography
Tia Ewing is an American journalist who presently works as an anchor, and reporter for FOX 32 News in Chicago, Illinois. She has won a number of Emmy awards for her work.
Tia’s passion for broadcast journalism began in her hometown of “Chicago,” where she was born and raised. She feels incredibly honored and delighted to be back in the Windy City. She has a large family who was also born and raised in Chicago and now resides there.
In addition, Ewing recalls riding with her mother through the west loop on Chicago’s near west side when they came across a “big” HARPO sign. She was standing in a line that was several blocks long, and she wanted to know what HARPO was.
Tia discovered that HARPO was a multimedia production firm started by Oprah Winfrey after doing some investigation. She was inspired by Oprah and decided to pursue a journalism career.
Ewing earned a B.A. in English from The Ohio State University and an M.A. in Mass Communications and Journalism from Point Park University.
Tia began her career at WNEM, a television station in Flint, Michigan, where she worked as an anchor and reporter. She reported stories including an unscrupulous city home construction project, the terrible killing, and murder case of Dominick Calhoun, a 4-year-old boy, and even former Vice President Joe Biden.

Tia moved to KTXL in Sacramento, California, after Flint, where she began her career as a reporter. A few months later, she was elevated to anchor and reporter.
Thereafter, Ewing worked as an evening anchor for KTXL Fox 40 for over a year. She Tia Ewing also known as the dancing anchor during her stay in Sacramento in 2012. She became famous after she danced during a commercial break. Look it up if you want to have a good chuckle.
Tia worked as a morning anchor for two years at WOIO in Cleveland, Ohio, in 2015. While in Cleveland, she was nominated for a NATAS Lower Great Lakes Chapter Emmy for Team Coverage of the Republican National Convention in 2015.
In addition, Ewing covered the Cleveland Cavaliers Championship Parade as well as the Cleveland Indians’ playoffs. One of the highlights of her career was giving a speech celebrating the life of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. on the floor of Quicken Loans Arena during the Cleveland Cavaliers’ half-time performance.
Tia is committed to mentoring and serving society. Besides, she is always willing to help non-profit organizations by speaking to children and performing community service.
Moreover, Ewing belongs to the National Association of Black Journalists.
