Tony Mainolfi Biography
Tony Mainolfi is an American Certified Broadcast Meteorologist who works as a daily Chief Meteorologist at WESH 2 News, Hearst Argyle in Orlando, Florida, in the United States. In May of 2005, he joined the First Warning Weather Team.
On weekdays at 5, 6, and 11 p.m. on WESH 2 News, as well as WESH 2 News on CW18 at 10 p.m., Mainolfi can be seen. Tony formerly worked as a chief meteorologist at WCHS-TV in Charleston, West Virginia, for nine years. In addition, he spent time in Atlanta working for The Weather Channel and CNN.
Tony was vital in saving lives during the devastating Groundhog Day tornado outbreak in central Florida on February 2, 2007, which claimed the lives of 21 people and was the region’s second most lethal tornado outbreak in recorded history.
